Your donation helps preserve the genetic diversity of our food, protecting irreplaceable crops for future generations.
Your support strengthens our food security in an uncertain future through seed preservation of diverse heirloom food crops.
Your gift keeps our cultural and agricultural heritage alive.

UCFA provides growers—particularly those from historically marginalized and under-served communities—with training in seed farming and seed saving, UCFA-supported Seed Hubs form a network of growers spanning rural, urban, and peri-urban communities, creating a living seed-bank system that maintains diverse heirloom varieties across multiple regions.

In collaboration with Tuskegee University, the Seed Farm at Princeton, the Utopian Seed Project, the Experimental Farm Network, and other agricultural research partners, UCFA conducts research projects on the preservation, adaptation, and improvement of heirloom crop varieties.

Heirloom seed peservation is achieved through UCFA's active cultivation, regeneration, and distribution of heirloom seeds. At UCFA we are preserving heirloom seed varieties with African, Asian, European, Indigenous American, and diasporic origins.
Help UCFA grow the next generation of BIPOC seed stewards by supporting scholarships for The Ira Wallace Seed School. We’re raising funds to ensure tuition is never a barrier for aspiring seed stewards.
Donate Now! Your support doesn’t just fund a scholarship—it helps cultivate the future of farming.
