Many commercial household cleaners contain harsh chemicals that can pose several health risks, especially with frequent or prolonged use. Some of the most common adverse health effects include:

  • Eye irritation,
  • Skin irritation,      
  • Breathing problems, as well as
  • Headaches, dizziness, and nausea.

  

Many commercial cosmetics and skin care products also contain harmful chemicals that can cause eye and skin irritation, hair loss, dizziness, skin discoloration, and trigger allergic reactions.


Learn the basics of creating household cleaners and hygiene products using natural ingredients. Learn about low-cost fair trade, food grade, natural, plant-based, and organic ingredients for household cleaning, hair, gardening, hygiene, laundry, and other do-it-yourself goods. Bring a reuaseable bag to take home supplies and glass containers.


In this workshop you will:

  • Learn the dangers of many commercial cleaners
  • Familiarize oneself with  safe organic cleaning alternatives
  • Discover and make natural hygiene products
  • Acquire skills in making green cleaning products
  • Have supplies to make 5 DIY natural and organic creations
  • Hear how to save money on hosehold cleaners & hygiene products

Kathy Anderson and Karen Bowlding have over 20 years of experience creating, and using homemade household cleaners. They teach workshops in natural cleaning alternatives for children and adults.
